Finding exciting activities that allow your family to experience local culture requires research. We know that this can be a difficult task at the best of times, let alone in another country. 1. Pafos Zoo

You can never go wrong with a zoo and Paphos is home to the biggest licensed zoo in Cyprus! They are committed to animal care and creates compelling experiences that connect people with wildlife and inspire personal responsibility for conserving the natural world.

It’s set in a lush and unspoiled natural environment and houses a variety of birds and animals from every corner of the planet. Their collection of birds and venomous snakes is one of the largest in Europe.

2. Coral Bay

Coral Bay is one of the finest sandy beaches Cyprus has to offer. It’s the perfect place to have one (or more) of those relaxing beach days you dream of before going on holiday. There are plenty of parasols and loungers to park yourself in, and there’s a strong sea breeze if you want to try some water sports.

You are also able to hire pedalos, boat rides, and organised snorkelling expeditions for the more adventurous kids and big kids out there. The neighbouring area is packed with little shops, roadside stalls, and traditional cafes. Coral Bay is the place to swim, shop, eat, and browse all in one handy place.

3. The Place

Visit The Place if you want your children to make the most of their holiday spending allowance. It’s filled to the brim with locally made arts and crafts and features beautifully traditionally handcrafted items like jewellery, glassware, and paintings. There are little treasures waiting to be found.

4. Tombs of the Kings

There are six large tombs to explore, filled with the rich history of Paphos, meaning you’ll probably spend a full day here with your family! Many of the tombs date back to the 4th century BC, are carved out of solid rock, and are thought to have been the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials up to the third century AD.

Perfect for any little explorers in your family.

5. Aphrodite Waterpark

This is the biggest waterpark in Paphos and is a one-of-a-kind naturally landscaped aqua adventure centre. They have high-speed water slides, an extensive lazy river, a wave surge pool, and lots of swimming areas. For littler kids, there is a dedicated water-play area.
