We’re here to take the stress of decision making out of your hands by showing you what Paphos has to offer…
The city of Paphos is rich in culture, history, nature, and attractions, meaning your stay will never be boring. It’s divided into two districts: Pano and Kato, the former has amazing views of the sea and has an abundance of shops, the latter is considered the heart as it has restaurants, tavernas, nightclubs, and souvenir shops. Whether you’re travelling solo, with a partner, or as a family, there is something for everyone.
Paphos Castle is located at the western end of the city port and was originally a Byzantine fortress built to protect it. Today, it’s a place where tourists can learn about its history whilst having an incredible view of the harbour, the promenade, and the Troodos Mountain range. If you’re there when it gets dark, you’ll be able to witness it beautifully lit up.
Discover the mythical elements of the city in the open-air museums we have to offer. There, you will find mosaics, panels, and motifs of the Gods and Goddesses, such as Dionysus, Apollo, Poseidon, and Hercules, to name a few. We won’t go in to too much detail as to not spoil magic.
You can keep the mythological theme going and visit the Rock of Aphrodite. According to legends, that is where she emerged from the sea foam and the rock itself rises out of the water.
Make sure you visit Geroskipou where you can purchase the most delicious Turkish Delight, according to locals. There are also some beautiful churches, like Saint Nicholas church and Agia Paraskevi, to soak in some culture and bring a sense of peace to what is sure to be a busy holiday.
When all the sightseeing has worn you out, you can relax on one of the many beaches of Paphos. There are 27 beaches to choose from, so you’ll never run out of sandy shores and clear ocean views. Nothing beats spending the day on the beach when you’re on holiday. You can swim in the water, get a tan, build castles, or maybe play some beach games. The opportunities are endless.
Last, but not least, and possibly the most important, is Paphos has amazing food and wine. Cypriot cuisine blends spicy Middle Eastern approaches and Mediterranean freshness. We can all agree that one of the best parts of any holiday abroad is getting to explore the food and drink that may not be available where we’re from.
